Headstock finish from Warmoth?

Hello everyone, long time lurker and even longer time lusting for a Warmoth build. I am thinking about getting a finished body with my tax return and saving up for the neck to get later on this year. However, I have not found any information about Warmoth painting the headstock and that is something I would want, instead of a natural finish headstock. On the neck builder there is no option to finish the headstock, only the entire neck, and only clear options are available. I have seen a few builds on here that had the headstock painted to match the body finish (for example, a blue burst body with matching blue burst headstock). Does Warmoth offer to paint the headstock somewhere and I'm just not finding it on their website? I wouldn't even want a body matched headstock, just plain gloss black. Thanks in advance!

Here is the neck finishes link. If you look at the table it has the prices and whatnot. I haven't built a Warmoth myself so you best option would be to contact Warmoth.

The online builders are geared to the most frequently chosen options, and while dead sexy, headstocks that match bodies are not that frequently chosen.  Warmoth definitely paints headstocks to match bodies that they are also painting at the time the body paintjob is underway.  They won't match other folks' work, and after-the-fact is a good way to wind up without a real match, also.  Your best bet is to reach out directly to Warmoth via phone or email to set forth the specs for your order and get their express agreement that they can follow your requirements.

I have two painted Warmoth headstocks.  I just called them after I made my order and they charged me $20 extra.  However you'll want to make sure before you place your order that it's a neck wood that takes finish well.  I don't know how well all types of wood take finish.  In my case both my necks were maple so there was no problem.

Ah, somehow I missed that page Axkoa.

Thanks everyone, that all makes sense. The neck would be maple, and just regular black on the face of the headstock, so should be totally fine, especially since I wouldn't be ordering the body and neck at the same time.

Welcome to the forum. Yes, contact Warmoth before you place your neck order just to get everyone on the same page and confirm how they need you to  make your request in your order. I've done neck orders both online and over the phone. Your plan sounds like one they can do.
