Happy new year from the UK

We don't crank it up to 11, we get out our guns and shoot at the moon. That's at least a 13, which is well above and beyond the call of duty <grin>

Yeah, we all have fond gear memories that remind us by their absence that we're not the clearest thinkers around. But, of course, it always seems like a good idea at the time.

But, speaking of Marshalls with strange scales, I had a buddy years ago who dinked around with his JTM45 so much that it didn't have many numbers left on it at all. Didn't matter to him, though. Guy was an adjustment freak. He couldn't keep his hands off the amp even in the middle of a song. Of course, that's why all the silkscreening was worn off. Had an Ampeg VT-22 that was the same way. You'd look at the thing and wonder how he knew which knobs did what, but once you realized he was the one that wore it in that way, the mystery was gone. Adjust something 80 bajillion times, and you know what does what.

And now I'll start a new thread on that topic, just to ring in the new year...
