I know its the guitar because i tried with different cables and different guitars and different amps. so why is it crackling?

check your solder joints. Make sure it's not your jack. Make sure your pots are clean. Don't play Limp Bizkit.

joints that look dull, blobs of solder, or dirty.  A good solder joint looks really smooth - like it was dipped in silver paint.

I'd recommend:

"Ersin" Multicore 60/40 Tin/lead    .036in. diameter.

Very clean and easy to use.

it says in the second one that desoldering is "electrically noisy". what does that mean?

That the process of desoldering generates static electricity that could damage some integrated circuits.

You don't have to worry about that.

mayfly, on the scale of awesomness, you rank a 14. the scale has no cap but just for reference, gonorrhea is a 2 and eric clapton is a 20.

So, mayfly, you're somewhere around Eric Clapton with gonorrhea 3 times over.

in a nutshell.

Wait, would that be Eric Clapton with gonorrhea 3 times over, or 3 cases of Eric Clapton's gonorrhea?
