Green Dye Quilt Maple Strat body - yay!

Sweet! Quilted Maple is such a magical wood. Sounds like the neck is a perfect mate as well.

Cats always have a way of getting into the shot... :laughing7:

That is amazing....Just amazing.... :o

That's a nice lookin' bit of fancy lumber.  The green is very swanky.  I have a flame-maple topped strat body I'm trying to figure out how to approach - and a rich green is one of the lead contenders - more so, now that I've seen what you have here.  Nice choice.

Until you WANT to take their picture, that is. Then it's either head for the hidey-hole or sniff the lens!

Thanks guys! It looks really swanky with the neck I have. And yes, it's actually going to have back and gold 2-tone hardware - I was originally thinking all black, but I have gold frets on the ebony neck, and so it seems it really wants the black and gold motif to continue. I'm still debating on the pickups - I also really like the idea of black and cream zebras, but have black pickup rings, and am thinking I may need to go with gold covers on them.

Cat's name is Fishpants - she's an adopted stray that lives in my office/studio pretty exclusively, despite having the run of the whole house - she hates the other 3 cats and has claimed my office as her domicile. And yes, she's a tortoiseshell - they're very common with the strays around here.

Well that's one badass guitar, and a pretty cat... You should add that pic in the cat lovers thread... :icon_thumright:

Thanks again all!

Here's yet another pic with the neck in place - not attached yet, still waiting for the next package of hardware.

Awesome guitar - and - you have quite the tone arsenal with the Boogie/Ceriatone.  :guitarplayer2:

I'm glad you noticed that! Yes, I love these 2 amps, they complement each other nicely. The ceriatone is an overdrive special Bluesmaster 50 watt (which I built from a kit!), which has an amazing sustaining singing voice, and a fantastic clean sound. And the Boogie Mark IV is, well, a Mark IV - just about the ultimate for everything.

Hell yeah, I noticed.  The BM series has been intriguing me for some time now - and that's a challenging build, so congrats!  All of Nik's stuff is top notch - even his transformers sound really nice.  I think this one is the ultimate guitar > cable > amp setup, where you can really work the volume knob on your guitar.

I just picked up a MKV and love love it.  Had a MKIV and can definitely understand why you love it.  Rock on!
