Graphite Shielding Paint as a Finish?

Hi there!
I really dig the look of graphite shielding paint. Sanded and polished it looks like metal! But I'm afraid it's not durable though...Anyone tried something similar?
Maybe graphite powder mixed with a clear? Or just clear over graphite paint?
Have you seen the chrome finishes some cosplay guys achieve by rubbing graphite powder on high gloss finished parts?
How awesome would that look on a guitar! What are your thoughts?
