I am doing a black Korina body in tung oil and wanted opinions on using fumed silica with tung oil as a grain filler. I have filled using epoxy and fumed silica under a "water base" lacquer and it worked really well. Seems like it should work but I would appreciate input if anyone has tried this or has opinions.
