I've got a right-handed reverse strat neck on order with Warmoth. I need to order the tuners. Am I correct in assuming that I need tuners for a left-handed neck???

necks aren't really left handed or right handed, tuning machines are named by what side they are on when you look at it straight on.
I believe what you are after is 6 on the right side.

Simple answer: yes, if you want them to turn the same way you are used to for tuning up (for example) then you'll them just as if they were going on a left-handed regular neck.

I know, I've been there. I'm lefty, buidling a Strat out of a right handed neck. I ordered right-handed trimloc Sperzel tuners that I'll have to disassemble and reassemble in reverse to make them turn in the same way I'm used to.

Sperzel are great for that, it's only a mater of reversing the shaft... not sure about other brands though. See here for Sperzel how to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOpsH5VGtdg

That's an interesting little factoid to keep stashed in the back of the head. I just tried it with a Schaller Mini locker, and while it seems like it should work, the shaft won't come all the way out. At least, not easily. I was afraid to put any undue pressure on it for fear of wrecking the worm gear, so I'll just wait until somebody else has a spare they don't mind experimenting with.

Oxford English Dictionary definition: Factoid - an item of unreliable information that is repeated so often that it becomes accepted as fact.

Kinda funny that a factoid is actually a factoid.

I apparently misused the word, then. What was demonstrated was clearly possible, so it wasn't unreliable data. But, I was under the impression that a factoid was a "small fact", not that it meant the data was unreliable.

Definitions drift.  See, e.g., "liberal" and "conservative."

Good point. "Gay" doesn't mean anything close to what it used to when the Flintstones were popular...

When you're with the Flintstones
Have a yabba dabba doo time.
A dabba doo time.
You'll have a gay old time!

I think it is common to misuse "factoid" - The USA Today website just had a Final Four piece where they likened factoids to "a hodgepodge of fresh facts":  http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/mensbasketball/finalfour/2010-03-31-factoids_N.htm
