Gotoh Staggered Height for Reverse Headstock?

Hi Guys,

I'm building a bit of a superstrat from a Warmoth body and neck.  The neck I ordered has a "reverse" Strat headstock and I bought a set of the Gotoh Staggered Height Kluson clones.  I've got a set on a Mexi Strat and they work very well.

When I went to put them on the neck today I realised that they're not designed for a reverse headstock - i.e the tuners with the shortest shaft length have to be used for the low E and A strings but cannot be aligned like that with my headstock.

Does anybody know if Gotoh make a reverse set or do you think I'll just have to get some Klusons and fit a string tree?

Cheers

Chris

I see your problem. The staggered heights go the opposite direction required for a reversed headstock. The left handed ones would work.

You need left hand ones definitely as the worm gears are also set for left tension pull by the strings.

yeah, you need left handed tuners i think. meaning "right" tuners. confusing, but yep  :icon_thumright:
