When Warmoth says that their gotoh side adjustment only comes with right handed necks, does this include their right handed necks with a reverse peghead? I would love to get a Warmoth pro CBS with reverse peghead, but I won't do that if there is no side adjuster. Information, please

I am pretty sure that reverse headstock neck still have the side adjuster.
That was my impression as well.  Only if it has a thirteen degree tilted headstock then it won't.

ok, maybe you guys don't understand my question... http://www.warmoth.com/Guitar/Necks/CBS_WarmothPro.aspx

When you see where it says standard features, you'll read "gotoh side adjuster (right hand only". Does this apply to all right handed necks or are reverse necks excluded? Can a Warmoth emplyee answer my question?

They answered "yes" and I agree.  If you want a Warmoth employee's opinion specifically you gotta call Warmoth!  :occasion14:

I think it has much less to do with headstock orientation, and everything to do with body orientation, and therefore access to the area needed.

But anyway, if you want to hear from a Warmoth employee, call Warmoth.

But either way, 99.99% of guitars work just fine without the side adjuster.

No offense, but for the life of me, i do not understand why you are asking such a blatantly obvious question.

A right handed neck with a reverse headstock is a right handed neck. Right handed necks have side adjusters. Therefore, a right handed neck with a reverse headstock has a side adjuster...

The side adjuster (to my knowledge) has nothing to do with the headstock's orientation. It is located at the heel area of the neck.

I think it's legit question and have wondered it myself.  The question is do they take a right handed neck and cut a reverse peghead for it to maintain the side adjustment.  Everything I've read about their reverse headstocks say that they're lefthanded construction with side dots (and nut) done right handed.  But, for obvious reasons, it IS a right handed neck, so it should have it.

I could be wrong, but the reason why they don't do side adjusters on left handed necks is that the side adjuster only orients on the treble side of the neck. If you wanted a lefty neck with a side adjuster, i am pretty sure that it's do-able, but it would be on the treble side like a right handed neck. Putting a right handed side adjuster on a left handed neck is more of a functionality/real world application issue than a construction issue.

If you look at where the side adjuster is, if you fliped it over and made it a lefty the neck pocket would cover the adjuster and make it useless. To answer the original question I would say yes you can do any headstock you want including a reverse.

I am confused because they call their reversed peghead necks "left handed construction with right handed side dots". If it is left handed construction, that would put the gotoh side adjustment on the other side wouldn't it?

The side adjust mechanism itself is built in such a way that it will not work well left handed in concert with the truss rod. I can't explain it to the detail that was just explained to me but that's the reason it is not offered on left handed necks.

thank you Gregg. My bad... that was the question that I should have asked in the first place... I'll be looking forward to a time when I can afford another W neck...
