Got to hang with Dave Wronski....

Surf is a good foundation for avoiding some of the ridiculous overcrowding in the "blues-rock"  logjam. You would really dig on the Vanduras:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6zYm3A2rrw Their album "In the Dark" always creeps up in my rotation. As far as the all-important authenticity vs. poseur horror - Vanduran G. Brandin is one of the three steel guitarists who created the "Spongebob Squarepants" ouvre! Can't beat that with a stick... a 6'6" pintail stick....

:party07: :cool01:

I've even wondered if the classic Dead tune "Dark Star" isn't at heart, an ultimate surf extension. It sure ain't da blooze. We can all bless our lucky Jerrys for that!

Great point you make.  I put this in the "Post Rock" column, which has a LOT in common with surf, even if the speed and intensity are down a little, and you repeat stuff enough for a 10 minute song that would have lost the surf crowd in 3 minutes.
What I'm trying to write is exactly that stuff in the middle.
So over da blooz.

Awsomeness! A genre I really enjoy. It's a beautiful guitar for sure. I would love to play it. Is that a piece of foam under the strings? The selector seems a bit funky but it does make a lot more sense.

Great jam! What a great day!

That's just so he doesn't get any unwanted ringing from behind the bridge.

BTW, Ken.. Get in touch with Dave, you should make the pups for his next jag!

Indeed!  I tried to 'friend' you on facebook, check that out.  There's a soundclip I can't figure out how to share, other than on fb.  You've GOTTA hear that thing.
That's my next build, a jag that sounds like that.
Preston's right, foam just stops the behind the bridge ringing.

Cool! I'm not seeing anything on FB...? I would love to hear it. PM me and tell me your username or friend request me. Oh wait... You did some time ago. I didn't see it. We're friends now. Sorry I missed that.

Doug, we can "D6" just about any type of pup. You know I'm up for making something funky!

I would love to get in touch with Dave and talk pickups. I typically don't spam people. An introduction would be nice.  :icon_thumright:

*EDIT*.. just saw videos on FB.. Really, Really great stuff!!!

I hope I can make it sometime.

What, and miss THIS?
I think not!  It's going on my calendar as soon as Paul solidifies a date.  Then I'm tying up my drummer, throwing him in the trunk, and going up early.
