Good way to make HSS guitar HH?

I just bought a black Jackson JSX-94 of a friend for very cheap ($100) and will throw away and buy all new gold finished Gotoh hardware (will look great to the black)

So... It's HSS. I have two EMG humbuckers, and wanna use them. Don't want to spend money on a EMG single coil...

So, what will I do? I don't wanna have the middle pickup hole visible, and this model has a slanted upper part so a pickguard would be "hanging in the air".

Any ideas?

Leave the single coil where it is, just don't wire it up?

Worked for this guy (in a very limited way  - not cosmetically appealing, but you get the idea):

All pickups are in another guitars right now.

And I might actually just leave it open and put in a single coil EMG when I got the money for it in the future, that might work!

You could also just pop an empty pickup cover in there as a cosmetic placeholder, if you want to conceal the empty cavity.

Hmmm, actually I'm considering just getting an EMG SA and set it in the middle.

Now let's save some money for this...
