Anyone know where to get those chinese copy guitars? i.e. PRS, gibson, etc.

What is that company in Seattle that is doing all the Chinese Gibson knockoffs? They had some cool looking stuff too, somebody on the Les Paul forum was gaga about his.

I'm diggin' that.

That one too, but I'd change the knobs.

I haven't heard anything about them personally, but I have played and handled some of those knockoffs.

They get away with it because firstly they're not in the USA, and need to shipped internationally from China.  Second, the materials and woods used are generally crap.  Lastly, any guitarist who is familiar with Gibsons would be able to tell the difference in under 10 seconds of playing one.  The setups are horrendous.

They're knockoffs, nobody is trying to establish a reputation here.  Caveat Emptor

Sorry Fernando, they're probably like any other knockoff.  Play fifty of them and youll find a gem, otherwise be prepared to be disappointed.

Try an Edwards or a Burny for a less expensive LP.  Those are actually decent.

Still expensive for what I've seen :)
I should really start building guitars, don't? :laughing7:

Yes!  We're still awaiting that cool VIP build you've got going.  Besides, I'd buy a Fernando LP over a chinese one any day of the week.  :headbang1:

That's true!

Maybe to England... Where Jim would buy him beers, and Warmoth wouldn't be local competition. And right by Bare Knuckle Pickups..

Be prepared for 200% the original cost in taxes  :sad1:

We could work it out ;)
I'll look for apartment to rent in São Paulo next month, will be closer to where I can use the saws, routers, etc... Lets see what happens!
and for the abroad thing, I just can't stop leaving here... It's so much corruption and things that make you think that you're a idiot paying your taxes, that I can't have a real time to calm down... This country isn't serious... With the money I've saved here and the money I will probably receive next year I may try go abroad to live in the next summer (yours summer)... But it's a long shot, surely! God give me madness enough for it :laughing7:

PS: It's a L5S, but I shall say that it's SO long on wait that you are complitely forgived about this :laughing7:
