What do you guys think a Birdseye Maple neck with a Goncalo Alves fingerboard will look on either an Alpine white or an Olympic white body?

i sort of have a fetish for white guitars...
but i am not so sure that the goncalo will look good against it.

it looked great on a sunburst body, but i am not sure that i want another sunburst body...

does anybody have any ideas for a good color for a body?

Play around here for a while...

I just tried white with a Goncalo fingerboard, doesn't look bad at all.

It's there, just keep looking.

I also have somewhat of a fetish for white guitars.  The thing about white or black guitars is that they pretty much go with anything...

My apologies. The specific thing you want is not there. I will search Google further.

cool, but...

here is a picture of goncalo alves wood.
its a sort of  amberish color with brown stripes.
in real life, its even a tad orange.

alright, i found this kisekai site that lets you do virtual guitars...
i uploaded a picture of the goncalo.

so what do you guys think?
obviosly, this is a strat, not a jazz bass, but you get the idea

top pic: this is what i am after. crap, i dont like the look of the white against the goncalo.
middle pic: ok, heres a vintage white. it looks better, but i still dont think it looks very good.
bottom pic. this is what my jazz bass looks like right now, and if all else fails, thats how i will have the body finished.

this looks so expensive that it pains my wallet to even think of it...

but maybe a goncalo alves laminate top to match the neck?

but then again, a hate when the back of a guitar is not fancy like the front.

Have you considered canary? Usually noticeably lighter than goncalo

like this?

actually, i think that i like the goncalo top better than the canary.

I meant canary neck with white body  :)

i cant do that because i already have the goncalo neck...
i bought a Birdseye Maple neck with a Goncalo Alves fingerboard, and now i am thinking about what to do when i get the money for the body...

alright, i found a great looking way of doing it...

sunburst with a clear pickguard.

the only problem now is that i would have to omit the neck pickup routing on the body...
i am doing this bass with just the bridge pickup, and i planned on covering the neck pickup route with the pickguard.
the beauty of this is that if i change my mind and want a neck pickup again, its as easy as putting on a new pickguard.
but with a clear pickguard, i have to leave the body unrouted or it will look stupid.

how difficult would it be to route in a neck pickup later down the road?
and would warmoth do it for me if i sent them the body?

btw, it looks like i am trolling my own thread.
