I've always liked David Gilmour, more so than any other member of Floyd. But seeing he's a Dallas Cowboys fan, makes it even better..

Cowboys fan!!! Gotta get rid of my collection.  I thought being from Britain he would not care for what Americans call football.

One of if not my fav guitarist.  If you ever have the chance, there was a good documentary on him, Wider Horizons.

FYI. It is Gilmour

I've seen that, and yes, I'm aware it's Gilmour...I'm American, so my normal way of spelling kicked in... :laughing7:

Maybe he just likes the girls on the sidelines...

At least he's not a Patriots fan.  I don't know what I'd do with myself if my favorite guitarist was a Pats fan.

Not to try and rain on your parade or anything, but a lot of times touring musicians (even the big famous ones) wear whatever clothing that someone gives them.  Laundry Days can be a very tedious undertaking on tour.

Im sure, it was the 70's, so most likely they just wore whatever they found...But I'd like to think there were some Brits that liked American football...

Oh ya, lot of Mexican population here, and there is a Soccer team, FC Dallas..But really the Mexicans tend to be HUGE Cowboys fans too..Even down in Mexico..

Ever watch soccer? I don't know how it ever got popular. I had to watch a few professional games a couple years ago, and it was so mind-numbing that it even makes golf look like a blood sport. A single game lasts for about 37 hours, during which each team gets maybe 1 or 2 goals, and they almost inevitably end up tied. Then, they get to try to kick the ball into the goal with no opposition except the (remarkably effective) goaltender in an attempt to break the tie. To call the game boring would be to glamorize it. Buncha guys running hard around a huge field kicking a ball back and forth endlessly. I've never seen a group of such tireless athletic men working so hard for so long to get nothing done. If I live to be 1000 years old and never see another soccer game, I won't miss it for a nanosecond.

I've watched a few EPL games (English Premier League - two of my best friends are lifelong soccer fans) and I can tell you that soccer is GREATLY hit-or-miss in terms of how exciting it is.  I've seen games that were just non-stop action but ended in a draw without a single goal scored.  I've also seen games where there are tons of goals scored, but it's as boring as pro basketball - one team runs down the field and scores, then the other, repeat ad nauseum.

You have to remember that the alternative over there (at least in England) is cricket, which is like baseball except games last weeks and the scoring makes no sense.
