Hi everyone,
I know this isn't Warmoth related, but it's a guitar project so what the heck. :hello2:
I have owned this ebony Epiphone SG Special for a few years now, and have some plans in mind to make this thing rock.
I already have purchased a cheap bolt-on, Gibson-styled neck, in black. It is ready for a decal, hopefully a satin silver Gibson Diamond logo, and then a clear coat. (Will need help with that part!). I also will install some locking Gotoh Kluson tuners, and a GraphTech black TUSQ XL nut.
Now for the stuff I hope to have...
I'm going for the new Fishman Fluence Classic Humbuckers, when they are available. Anyone have info on that?
In the future, I might install a Bigsby.
A satin silver pickguard. Now I'm thinking a Les Paul style pickguard would be really cool! But maybe SG style? Any thoughts? And where to get either?
The wiring is something I'm still deciding on. Currently the guitar has 2 pots, and a switch. The new plan with either be 4 knobs, or 4 knobs and a switch. I have pictures down below! Which is better?
This should be fun... :toothy10:
Thanks guys,
-Josh
