Gibson scale conversion neck question

I have a warmoth telecaster(rear routed) body that is routed for a humbucker neck pickup. I was wanting to get a warhead Gibson scale conversion neck for it. Will fretboard overhang be a problem? Can a person order a warhead neck that has a telecaster square heel?

Only 22 frets there, so overhang shouldn't be a problem.  A few weeks ago, The Aaron mentioned that  one could order a neck with a different heel but that you have to contact the mothership.  If it were me, I'd give them a call at 253-845-0403, just to confirm this info and get an idea as to pricing.

There would be no problem with overhang and pickup placement. The Warhead for a Gibson conversion uses modern construction and is not available in the builder with a tele neck heel. As Rick mentioned just now it may be possible if you call or email sales.

If it is not possible you can use a Strat neck heel in a Tele Body.

The guitar I'm finishing up now has a Gibson conversion neck with a Strat heel and the body is routed for a Tele heel. It works fine. I just cut the pickguard to fit the Strat heel. The overhang is only about 1/4", just about enough to cover the slight mismatch of the heel. It's just a slight bit above the pickguard so if the PG was not routed for the Strat heel, you probably wouldn't see a lot of the little gap on either side of the end of the heel unless you looked for it from the side.

The Blue Ice Tele in my sig has a Gibson scale Warhead neck on it with humbuckers, but among other oddities with that body is that the neck pocket was routed for a Strat neck. But, as Rgand noted, you can put Strat necks in Tele heel pockets without issue other than the small corner gaps left over that the overhang covers up anyway and there's no intonation issue. You can also get Warmoth to re-cut Strat headstocks into Warheads for a small up-charge, which I obviously did for that guitar as well. Opens up your choices quite a bit if you want to buy out of the Showcase, as there are a helluva lot more Strat necks than Warheads to choose from. Long story short - the overhang isn't a problem in any case.
