Well, after a few years of standing on the side, financial ruin, and a slow recovery, I finally took the plunge and bought myself my first decent amp. (I've only been playing guitar for 12 years now... )
This thing doesn't have the 'chimey' feel of a Fender, but its cleans are very smooth and delicate. I haven't had a lot of face time with Vox, but the sound is sort of a mix between the two.
I haven't had much of a chance to crank it, but the distortion/drive sounds like it has a lot of potential. Articulate, yet crunchy.
The only problem I have is the reverb is busted, apparently. When I turn it up, the amp just puts out white noise...but when I hit the side of the amp I can hear the springs, so I might be able to piece it back together.
My first practice with it is tonight, my first show with it is one week from today. Hopefully I'm as happy with it then as I am now.
