$3300....looks killer

Looks like a reproduction of a '52.
Has the basic specs at least:
p-90's
trapeze style bridge

Funny, just yesterday I was researching the specs of the first Les Paul after stumbling across this on e-bay.

A '52 with a Tune-o-matic and PAF's sent my BS meter off.
It may be a retrofit though.

I'm still suspicious...

Gibson is cashing in on Les Paul's death by selling 'very special tribute' guitars for 3 grand a pop?  Gee, I didn't see that coming...

Thats enough, I dont care how much you dislike gibson and their products, you have no reason to be so disrespectful.

Um... He is disrespectful because he doesn't have respect for them. He can be disrespectful.

I get the MF catalog in the mail, and Gibson does have some great-looking variant sunbursts for the Les Pauls - root beer & desertburst & iced tea and faded cherry & siennaburst and whatnot, there are so many I can't keep them straight. I'd love to have a 335-ish guitar with a faded tobacco burst - just not a Gibson, maybe a Heritage or something. If somebody gave me a Les Paul, I'd play it for a while.

That 535 looks about right.

do not get me wrong...Gibson and Epiphone make some killer looking stuff.  The LP Studio I just bought is very nice looking.  I find they often try to hard to stand out...ala zoot suit SGs or the Billy Gibbons relic...

You're turning me on to Heritage, stubby. I'm liking the look/concept of the "groovemaster"

I want a jazz box so bad.

C'mon, they could come up with something more expensive than that for a tribute to the man himself......Even Billy Gibbon's "Pearly Gates" replicas are going for 25 G's....And Billy hasn't even invented anything....

I was appalled at the pricing there. That tribute model had better have some donation to something that Les would want. That, IMO, is the right way for a tribute. Help carry on the man's legacy, instead of just making a few bucks. Let's not do this Jimmi gibStrat style.
