Ghost MIDI volume

I'm trying to find a solution to stacked mag/MIDI  volume for the Hexpander.

I believe I've found a ganged 250K audio / 1M linear ganged pot. I asked over at the VGuitar forum but figured I'd ask here as well.

Does anyone know the impact of value on the MIDI volume? I'm guessing its a simple voltage divider driving an analog control voltage to the SY Vol pin and value does not matter. Can anyone confirm this?

Or suggest and alternative. Vishay makes a modular ganged pot, but I kinda like the traditional 1/2W overkill pots for mechanical robustness over contemporary minis.

What two values do you need?

If you get a R1/R1 pot, and a R2/R2 pot, you can swap the wafers around to get two R1/R2 pots, if the pots are not sealed.

250K Audio, 250K Linear.

Doh! I forgot about the parallel resistance trick. Or more precisely, forgot that it actually works quite well.

Guess I'm now looking for a 250k linear taper. Should be a lot easier to find.
