Gecko 5 fretless Zebrawood neck

I just received my (belated) birthday present to myself.  What better way to celebrate my gradually advancing age than a new Gecko bass! 

This is my first ever unlined fretless Gecko neck.  It's made of Zebrawood (with laminate stripes of Purpleheart) and has a gorgeous Macassar Ebony fingerboard.  (I think the Gecko inlay is made of Pau Ferro.)  This is one of the latest batch of Gecko blanks, which didn't quite make it to the Showcase. 

It has a clear satin finish that feels wonderful.  As always, Warmoth's finish work is outstanding.

Does Warmoth do other animals? On bodies?

All Gecko necks have the inlay.
You have to pay extra to omit it.

Personally, I'd want a Gecko neck with no gecko inlay, and regular round side dots. :blob7:

Does it weigh a ton and a half? Zebra's supposed to be on the hefty side.

In my limited experience working with Zebrawood, it isn't very dense at all.
It's rather open grained, and you can see that in the pics.

It's moderately heavy.  My Wenge and Bubinga necks weigh more, while my Maple and Canary necks seem to weigh less.  I don't have accurate measurements though.

This is the first time I've ever looked at anything bass related on this website.
