Guys, I have 5 top of the line guitars that anyone would be proud to own. Why on earth do I still get GAS? I'm jonesing for an LP now, a Warmoth LP at that. What is wrong with me? Will you still love me if I take the plunge?

We'll still love you, of course. GAS is permanent, and experiencing Warmoth doesn't help. I just thought 'moths were cool until I got my hands on a naked neck... now I have ten more builds in mind.

haha i've felt the same. at one point i had a usa peavey wolfgang, a few ibanez RGs (RG570, RGA121), and a decent acoustic (seagull artist portrait). i know it's not awesome top-of-the-line gear, but considering i'm no longer in a band and i only play for my own amusement it's really all i needed. now the only one of those i have anymore is my acoustic. and i don't think i'm giving that up! it's a keeper.

although GAS still hits quite a lot. i want:
arch top acoustic
"Gibson BFG" style-guitar. les pauls are uncomfortable for me
Gibson SG Standard in natural burst
guitar with a floyd
definitely need a new amp!

it'll never end.  :-\

You kidding? Would one crack addict tell his crack buddy to quit?

....no....

and the desire for more guitars/tones/amps/gear does not end until the day that you go completely deaf or lose all of your limbs. Actually, maybe just when you go deaf...

So if you want to kick the gas habit, you got to attack it at its source... your ability to hear. So KRANK IT TO ELEVEN AND  :party07: :party07: :party07: :headbang1: :headbang1: :headbang1: :party07: :party07: :party07:

This stuff doesn't work, I've tried it... :dontknow:

It's the fault of the manufacturers and used gear retailers; if they didn't make it and sell it, we wouldn't buy it.

I have 15 guitars, and I GAS constantly.

Your ears, hands, tastes, and goals change. So why shouldn't your gear?

I've had a couple build ideas in my head for almost 2 years now, but the money is missing :sad1:

Many years ago I changed girlfriends almost as fast as I exchanged basses.  Now long married...I require something I can rotate in and out of my life to achieve the same type buzz.  Hopping on different bass gear allows me to still be the whore of yore, yet be loyal to the wife   :laughing7:
