I have needed to do plenty of modifications to customer guitars and fresh routes when building my own. This has led me to design a system using 3D printed templates for pickup, bridge and control cavity routing. I feel this is a great way to make templates that the sweet spot of sturdy enough and cheap enough that I am not worried about ruining a template if I mess up. I am offering these here to others who need to find that same sweet spot.
The templates are 6" long by 4" wide and are 3/8" thick. I have specifically chosen this thickness because it allows for a 1/2" long template routing bit to get 3/8"-1/2" into the body and still have bearing contact with the template.
I have them listed on Reverb for $15 each + $6 shipping but I would be happy to do them for $13 each + $5 shipping for forum members.
I am open to making custom templates if you dont see what you need, just shoot me a message!
