Ditto. The downside is, once you know how to make a guitar perfect, you'll never be "done" with a build until you've got the frets dialed away... my bandmates & students always either:
A: Want to buy my guitars
B: Want me to do their frets & nuts

The upside is that you can sell any of your used guitars easily.  All you have to do is get them to play it for a few minutes and they can feel the love.

The visor may be geeky, weird, lame, etc.  It still kicks ass IMHO, it helps me focus (mentally and visually) on the finicky things.
