If i got one of these DL lamtops id much rather have a solid colour burst over than have the quilt stop with binding on the edge. I"m not really a fan of binding.
If the binding is to cover up the different woods, wouldn't a solid color do?
I'm thinking the binding may be functional as well with the DLs, but that's just a guess. I know there was a kind of ghosted binding where they had finished over it with a burstover on the LP board that looked pretty cool.
No joke. If was ever rich I'd be poor in slightly more than the time it would take me to buy 85 to 90% of the Warmoth inventory with a couple of others (PRS, maybe a stupidly overpriced Gibson sig model or two, etc).
I know, I just want to buy it and hang it on the wall and build a bass out of normal wood. Hell, if a Picasso is worth 70 mil, what's wrong with a $500 board? :dontknow:
That mahogany LP is what I'm all about. Damn. Warmoth keeps doing these all-mahogany carved top guitars with tobacco bursts, and they always look incredible. It kills me.
