I noticed that on a technical forum I used to spend a lot of time on. Nobody gave it a second glance, just tossed the word around like a pronoun or nickname or something.

Is the 'T' word really that offensive in the US? Here in the UK, it's at about the same level as "dick".

If the forum were hosted in the UK and had a filter, "fanny" might be one of the replaced words and I'd think it strange.
