Wonder if the guy has bought them due to the relative lack of Koa at the moment, I keep everywhere theres gonna be a Koa shortage soon. Seems strange that Fender have JUST started using it then.

well i've only seen Fender using koa for tops and i get the impression that koa body blanks can get priced nice and high due to the supply/demand thang...
