I found a new source for C1M (1meg reverse audio taper) pots! They're kind of a pain in the butt to source, so previously I had been buying them directly from the G&L web shop which is frequently out of stock of them and kind of expensive.

I just found that Guitar Madness on Ebay is now offering full-sized C1M guitar pots made by Alpha in long, medium, and short shaft! Link to medium shaft pots

I bought out their stock of four long shaft C1Ms, but hopefully they'll restock.

I find this wiring style to be EXTREMELY nice with humbuckers, p90s, or otherwise fat sounding pickups. It can be used tighten up your tone, and works nicely to tame/control fuzz pedals as well.

The only time I’ve wired one up was for G&L MFD single coils and I didn’t find the effect useful. I sourced mine from G&L as well. Need to try it on some humbuckers some day, and I think it’d be interesting to A/B with a Wilde Q Filter

Yep I don't find the bass cut to be nearly as useful with vintage-y single coils as with hotter pickups

The Q filter sounds interesting too, I had been interested in them for a while but forgot about it! Never played a guitar with one
