Floyd Rose Saddle Shims...

I know this is an old topic that has already been discussed here, but I just wanted to share my satisfaction here.
I built my Warmoth a couple years ago, It has a 10"-16" compound radius neck -- the first I've ever owned. The Floyd Rose bridge has a 10" radius (not 12", as some have stated).  I knew about saddle shims, but was just too lazy to deal with it...until tonight.  I never liked how the B, G, and D strings were so high off the fretboard past the 10th fret. Well, problem solved. I bought 6 shims from AXcessories.com that are .2mm in thickness. I installed 2 under the high E and low E,  one under the B and A, and then lowered the entire bridge.  I am very pleased with the results. The guitar plays wonderfully now. I was not interested in making my own shims from cutting up a soda can or other method. These shims are specifically made for Floyd Rose saddles, and have a hole for the Allen screw to go through, which keeps them perfectly positioned under the saddle.

I highly recommend these shims if you are using a Ffoyd Rose bridge, and have anything flatter than a 12" radius fretboard.

Welcome to the world of "those in the the know".  :icon_thumright:  Yup, I used them on my DM strat and glad I did... I bought mine too (versus making them).
BTW OFR bridges are 10", Schaller FR bridges are 12".
