Introducing Flash
This is my first Warmoth build, and certainly not the last. The name is due in part to the fact that the top is flame ash and I like wordplay and also because red and gold are the colors of The Flash's costume and I'm a nerd.
Body:
Chambered swamp ash with flame swamp ash top in cherryburst. Bought from the Showcase in June.
Neck:
Warmoth Pro Pau Ferro on Canary, warhead headstock, fatback profile SS6100 frets, straight 12" radius, Earvana drop-in nut
Pickups/Electronics:
Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro set, master volume and no-load tone, three way switch wired for bridge, bridge + neck in series, neck
Hardware:
Gotoh standard Tele bridge, Rutters control plate, Schaller strap locks, Grover Roto-Grip mini locking tuners, and, of course, the custom neckplate by DangerousR6.
Still need to have the frets leveled and the nut slots adjusted, and I may reprofile the neck just a little to be slightly thinner on the trebel side, but even now it plays like a dream. Sounds like a slightly warm traditional Tele on the bridge and neck, but growls like no Tele I've heard with both pickups running in series. Couldn't be happier. Thanks Warmoth, and especially Paul for helping me get the neck ordered how I wanted it.
