This is a little present that I promised myself a long time ago, but finally pulled the trigger on.  So happy with the finish on this!  Will definitely be doing another later on...

Yes, it's a conversion neck on a standard scale strat.  I've never liked the longer scale necks, thanks to my short fingers.

Always liked a white guard on a blue body, and that combo looks outstanding here! Post progress pix when you have them.

This baby went together fast!!  I'm not even sure I even need a fret dressing, but I'll know for sure once she gets strings on.

Very impressed with how easy the neck went on, everything was really smooth with my first build!

I guess that means I should do something with more difficulty for my next one???  :headbang5

Oh, for the record...

Tuners:
Hipshot staggered locking tuners (my second set now, I love these things!)

Electronics:
920D Custom Loaded Strat Pickguard w/ EMG SA SPC EXG  (Apologies to the purists... I really hate single coil hum!)

Bridge:
2Tek (this better be worth the price, dammit!)

Without further adieu....

Sweet!
Put some strings on it, take another picture and enter it in Guitar Of the Month.
And if you do - I won’t enter mine :icon_jokercolor:

Thanks!  I think ExaN has it won this month though.  That quilt on his is awesome!

It was a long week at work, so I'm taking it easy with some brews tonight.  I'll get her strung up in the morning for some glamour shots and enter it.

I did some work on a bass with a Tek2 bridge installed on it over the springtime and it sustained quite nicely, I thought it was snake oil at first when they came out until I actually handled & played on one.

Dude, that looks sharp! Beautiful quilt on that body, and the neck goes with it beautifully. You'll have to let us know what you think of the 2Tek bridge. Seems like the string-to-string clarity would be pretty awesome, and I'll be curious to hear what the sheer mass of that bridge does for the sound.
