Hi all, i've been browsing this forum for a while now, picking up some great advice and getting inspiration from some fantastic builds i've seen, you are all very helpful so thank you very much for that.

I'm very new to this and this is actually my first post.   :binkybaby:

I've been interested in Warmoth for a while now and finally decided to take the plunge and i'm soooooo glad i did, the quality of the woods is just so much better than anything else ive ever had. And only took 2 days to get to northeast England!

As of yet, i havent treated/finished any of the parts at all, wanted to see everything in the flesh before making any decisions.

Here is a link to some pics...

Specs:
Solid swamp ash body, maple neck, variax headstock, stainless steel 6105 frets, ebony fingerboard.

Let me know what you think.

That is beautiful!!!
very nice figuring on the swamp ash!

Best part is the simplicity! No dots!
what are your plans for finishing? also, are you going to add (or hide) a volume knob somewhere?

Hey guys,

glad you like it!  :toothy10:

I'm planning on keeping it simple, i fancy a nice change from switches and tone knobs.. so i'm not planning to install any unless i really need to later on.
As for finishes, i'm not entirely sure at the moment. Definiately leaning towards a clean, raw look and feel but not sure if i want to stain the swamp ash a little darker or what finish i'd like on the headstock, but i'll keep you updated with any progress!

Cheers for the replies.

Nice.  Looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you - best get busy and quit messing around with the ladies...  :laughing7:

Welcome to the forum.  This guitar already has all the properties to look good and personal.  The combination of a Strat body and a Variax headstock looks better than I thought.

Hi guys,

My project is now complete.

If you wanna see the results, ive posted in the soloist gallery.
