Hello all!
I'm a new member and a first time builder and I wanted to grab some info from you guys before I start my build.
My vision for the build is a Cherry Red Les Paul with a darker stain(?) on the sides, back, and neck. I was planning on coating the top with Primer and Acrylic Red paint but my concern is the binding. I want to make sure that I don't stain the binding to a deep level when I go to scrape it off so, does anyone have any suggestions or will I be fine with my choice of materials?
I know I'm supposed to sand the top when applying paint to allow for a better finish but does that also go for the rest of the body? Does anyone have recommendations on grit?
I'd like to be as prepared as I can for this build so if anyone has any other advice that might make this go more smoothly I'd really appreciate it! I'm sure I'll be asking more questions once I start.
