What do you think of the Sheptone pickups. I have read good things about them. I also noted that you used a different set on the Black Dog Lester. So what is the difference between the two sets?

Yes, I really like her a lot.  The Sheptone Tribute pickups which are on this LP are modeled using Gibson 57-58 specs with Alnico 5 magnets.  They have a really great sound and I have really enjoyed rockin' on them.
The Sheptone Blue Sky pickups which are on the Black Dog LP are made to emulate Dickey Betts' gold top and use Alnico 4 magnets.  Sheptone describes it as a dryer tone. 
I like the Blue Sky's as well, but I think I prefer the Tributes.  However, it is nice to have another tone laying around.
Twice a year Sheptone has a sale with all of their humbuckers going for $180/pair, so I picked up a pair of pairs...
