First look at Roasted Swamp Ash finished in a color besides clear!

Here is one of the winners from our recent Roasted Swamp Ash Sweepstakes, finished in Black to Clear Burst.


Thought y'alls might like to see it, so I grabbed a quick pic before it went out the door.

Well, that's lovely.  I like the variation in color in the vignette that one does not usually get with a typical B/Y or B/B/Y burst on ash or alder.  Recalls canarywood somewhat in that regard.

That turned out to be quite edible looking like some sort of toffee, which means I like it.

Beautiful. Would never suspect a clear->black burst. I love it. I want one. But, with a contoured heel, Wilkinson trem and a battery box, that's a $550 body. Gonna have to sell something, I think.

Anybody want a Warmoth carved top black cherry metallic Tele w/ a curly maple neck? Order me that body, and I'll ship you that guitar :icon_biggrin:

I really like the depth in that grain. The Black to clear really does RSA justice. It's truly an outstanding guitar body. Someone is going to be pleased.

In case you're interested, here is the other contest winner. He also opted for Black to Clear burst. This one is a little more brown in the center. Looks pretty dang killer, IMO.
