This this is awesome! Come on, calling your insurance to say a flaming tornado ate your house and grandma? Who gets to do that?

A flaming tornado?  Is that like some multi-colored tornado about ready to strike a house and says, "I feel fabulous - I'm sthooo going to blow you away!"

video won't load on my laptop :-\ i'm going to try on the PC in a few hours. this sounds too cool to miss (except it eating grandma)

how does that happen?
Al Gore is gonna make such a big deal about this being linked to global climate change. "Stop using diesel fuel or else the world will be ridden with flame-throwing clouds!"

The bit of the story I got was something like a tornado happened during a wild fire..

No, they're small, only a yard or two wide, and they come and go constantly around the edges of any decent-sized fire where the hot and cold air mix. Nothing unusual about it; they just happened to get some footage of this one and decided to embellish a story with it.
