finaly got the pointy guitar from Amserdan, 20 year old stock

But it has a problem. I bought this guitar as a 20 year old old stock, It has a sticker from the original shop (the one where I bought it) on the back of the head stock, is it history, or is it trash???

OH my god... I have seen that guitar a couple of weeks ago! At that store, Dirk Witte. How the heck did you find that guitar! :P They don't really have a good website.

I still remember saying to my girlfriend 'how the hell did Dirk Witte get their hands on THAT guitar!" :P very nice find, enjoy!

but the sticker, well, its not history nor trash, its just a sticker. I don't really get the problem :P

Leave the sticker.  It's awesome in it's ugliness.  The dog seems to have found some odoriferious information on that guitar.  He's not trained to sniff out drugs is he?  I mean the guitar was in Amsterdam for twenty years.....
Anyway, looks like you are amassing quite the Heritage collection, my man.  Cool guitars, and not something that every schmo has.

thanks guys the sticker is staying, I have the action set super low and no buzzing, but I also have house gusts so have not had a chance to make it loud.

I have a friend who lives near amsterdam, he bought a heritage 162 there a couple of years back and told me they had a pointy one that was in like new condition.. I actually paid for it more than three weeks ago, just took a while for them to ship it out.

Interesting looking guitar... sort of reminds me of Neal Schon's Jackson guitar from hid "Bad English" days.

Should I take it off ..
I'd say if it's and original store sticker, then I might leave it on. If it's not, then take it off.... :dontknow:

Funny story about stickers:
Back in 1995 I bought a EVH EB sig from a guitar store in Arlington, TX. The guitar had been put on layaway and the purchaser hadn't made a payment in several months. I offered to pay cash for it on the spot, so they sold it to me. Naturally I had kept all the original tags and layaway tickets. Years later I was sifting through the paper work, and it turned out that Joe Martin of Martin Brothers Bikes in Dallas had put the guitar on layaway, and I snagged it out from under him. This was all before he was a well known bike builder from the show "Biker Build Off" on Discovery channel... I emailed his brother some pics of the guitar and original paperwork and he confirmed that Joe had indeed put that on layaway in 1995... :icon_biggrin:

oh, I remember... that store also has a warmoth EVH carcass, for 350 euro's... neck and body. it seems to be a rather old neck and body though, but still, not really that expensive I presume.
