After two years of searching, working part-time, being laid off and being on unemployment, I finally finished my first day of full-time work. I've been busy for the past couple of months getting everything ready and setting training up for my new job. I am beginning a new job with the Michigan State Police as a mobile technology repair technician. I'll be responsible for repairing, installing, upgrading and maintaining the laptops, trunk-mounted data terminals and in-car printers for every State squad car in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Unfortunately, with this position, my background information needed to be checked over so many different ways, and it meant a LOT of paperwork had to be filled out before I could even think of beginning the job.
It feels great to finally have the few free minutes to play around on the boards like I used to when I had some free time. And Max, if you read this, sorry I didn't get a chance to respond back to you on Facebook. I wasn't trying to blow you off or anything--I just had so much on my plate.
