Has anyone tried the Fender Custom Shop '69 Strat Pickup Set? I'm lookin' for a new sound for a Strat of mine and thought I might finally give Fender another chance. These are the only ones that have really caught my attention for now. Well, if anyone knows what's up with 'em please let me know.

I have a set in my Warmoth Korina Strat, and I can't say enough good things about them. Classic Stratocaster tone.

I fitted a Fender Custom Shop Hot 50's set to my Strat and it made a huge difference.

My fav is the fat-50's Fender strat set, followed by the texas specials - but the 69's are good too.  The fat 50's and TXsps are the same, except for magnets - type II on the F50's and type V on the TXsps.  The 69s are a brighter, less mid heavy pickup, with slightly less output than the fat50's and TXsps

Good choice to get "classic" Strat sound when paired with a maple neck; sound even better in a build with a mahogany or rosewood neck to warm them up a little.
