Anyone put Fender 4th Gen noiseless pickups in a Warmoth tele body with standard tele pickup routes? Is the bridge PU too deep for the route? Mine won't allow the bridge to sit flat.

I put the PU's back in the box, if I get a chance later, I'll attach it to the bridge again and take a few pics

Does this help? Also, do the rubber tubes that come with the PU screws, need to be on? or can they be trimmed shorter? They seem to push the bridge up off the body, or should I be tightening the screws down so much it compress the tubes? Sorry, this is all a 1st for me :)

YES, trim the tubes. Those dark brown ones are too stiff. If you can, search for the light brown ones made from real rubber tubing that are more squishy.

Just saw your pix, looks like they're made so the standoffs mount flush to the bridge plate. Sort of like Fender predetermined the pup height for you, whether you like it or not!

I used the Bill Lawrence NFs on mine, but they're not quite that tall. Plenty of room for adjustment.

They look like they stand pretty proud in the rout even without the tubing.

so is the tubing necessary? this is without the tubing...one screw in just a few turns

Ok, so Warmoth confirms the routs are 3/4" deep, and looks like the PU is 7/8" deep, so I'm thinking no room for adjusting, and it will sit too high. Playing with the bridge PU, its worse, won't even fit in the cavity without me widening it, and it would also be to shallow for the PU.

So, I'll hold on to the 4th Gen PU's for a later project, and order Dimarzio Area T's, which I've seen many here putting in Warmoth teles, so they must fit ok ;)

You fit the pickup to the bridge first with the screws and tubing outside of the body and then you put the assembly of pickup and bridge into the body.

If the cavity is 3/4" deep add about another 1/8" for the thickness of the bridge you have 7/8" so I don't think the problem is the height of the pickups.

I prefer tubing to springs as there is no chance of rattle.

There are two pictures of what it should like in this post in my tele build. (You might want to read the thread as there is quite a bit of information in it)

I think part of the issue also was the wires laying underneath the pickup, adding height, and giving me fits about seating it all the way down and fairly level. It looked as if the top of the PU was nearly to the top of the saddles.
I trimmed the rubber pieces and can make it fit better, but don’t feel it’s right. So I’m going to run to a local Guitar Center this morning and get some replacements since I need pickguard screws anyway (newbie mistake, I didn’t think of ordering these lol) and will try to seat it again today and post pics.

Try also to get the wire running more to the side of the pickup rather than directly underneath. Sometimes it is the smallest things that make a difference.

Ok, got the wire to move along the side I think, was afraid of breaking the connection, so here is how the bridge looks now....
