Favorite Showcase piece of all time ever

Hey Guys--

While I immediately liked it, I couldn't help but wonder what you guys have seen in the past that makes your all-time showcase list. Whether its the one you grabbed, one that got away or one that you just lusted over the image of, share your story.

And Doug, that soloist is killer, as well.  That's the kind of finish I wanted for a V2...but no quilt tops to fit. :sad:

Yep, that truly is on of the best tiger eye finishes I've seen. If I had the coin to spare I'd get it myself... :icon_biggrin:

Say, am I the only one who doesn't really like natural binding?  (Yes, I know the one I posted had natural binding but I'd like it better if it were ivoroid.)

Yeah, Jack, I like that one too.  It was the nidus that got me thinking about my own spalt guitar.

DBW, I think the natural binding looks good on most carved tops with bright finishes for contrast, but on flat tops it seems kind of overdressed. I dunno why...

For basses - the Jazz that line6man linked is tasty, and unusually light for maple
