Hey! Wait! NONE of these guys are on the list? A "best" list without Mahavishnu & Morse... :icon_scratch: I mean, I gotta agree with Page, Garcia, Beck, Allman and Hendrix, but it gets a bit silly. Eric Johnson learned a lot from Hendrix and Beck, Morse learned a lot from Beck and McLaughlin, but then Petrucci learned a lot from Morse and Johnson. The ability to translate feeling and the quality of the tools used are quite widespread, so then it becomes a question of the intent. And that can't be "rated' as it's individual.
