Factory Fretboard burnishing

I think it'd be a nice option to be able to get your fretboard burnished at the factory, before the frets are installed, for necks that will not be finished. 'Burnishing' should be a finishing option, IMO.

Maybe you should give 'em a call and apply for the position.

I'm sure they could make time for the right amount of money, but would anyone buy it at that rate?

They could always sell a 5-pack of different grits of sandpaper as a DIY kit. :D

Especially when there is a retired geezer in MI who has reasonable rates.  :occasion14:
 
Lot's of manufacturers could do things we request, but could they do it at a rate that the market can reasonably accommodate?

Or

Could the consumer pay what it would actually cost the manufacturer with a slight markup added as a profit margin?

Not likely.  That's why often the simple answer is "no".
