Allright well it's like way late and I'm sitting here doing bong hits and thinking about the 'turtle' guitar I built last year.  It is honestly the best guitar I have ever played.  Granted being left handed, I haven't had the chance to play more than about a dozen guitars in my lifetime.  But I was sitting here thinking about how well it plays, how good the neck feels, how freakin awesome it sounds......... I mean it makes my bassman head growl a real nice honest tube distortion with the Dimarzios.  The T-bridge, honestly sounds like an acoustic guitar with a pickup.  I know some guys don't like the way they sound, but I do!  I mean, I don't know, I really nailed something for once!!  I'm not gloating, I just don't give myself enough credit sometimes.  Man I wish I could build them for a living, like my day job....... not just bullshit fixes for my bros, you know?

I was just strumming out some favorite GD songs, and my wife was singing here at the house this evening (kids away tonight!) and being my own worst critic, I can honestly say we sounded good.  I don't know though it could be all the woodchuck's and bongs, not sure, but I do need to find some sort of recording apparatus other than a tape deck.  I don't have any freakin clue how to make analog tape into digital music.  I know there is a way, but I also know that there is a way to just do it digitally, so why not skip the analog part.  I'm not the most computer savvy person.

Anyway what I have learned from this build is that I can't stand the freakin blend pot I put in this one.  I am going to switch it out for a stacked pot so I will have two stacked pots, volume over tone on both for both dimarzios.  Then I think I can call it 'just exactly perfect!'

I apologize for using the forum as my psychologist, but y'all are allright!! :rock-on:

Hey, digital recording......man, I'm about as retarded as they come when it comes to knowing anything about recording on a computer. Someone steered me towards the Line6 UX1. I hooked it up, installed the software, plugged in and was recording in no time. It's not as difficult as it may seem.

Thanks Mully I will look into that.  I am looking for something like that.  Can I just plug in a small mixer into that?  Or can  I mix my wife's vocals with my guitar with one of those gadgets?

Well, it has in input for a mic so I guess you would do the guitar track and then the vocals. I'm using a free recording software called Audacity. You would do all of your mixing in that. Don't ask me anything else though because I'm on the edge of being lost in this conversation. hahahaha!!! My knowledge of recording goes about as far as my knowledge of quantum physics.......and I was an art major in college.

ROFL!!!  Dude, it's good to have THAT in common with your wife (if that's your thing).  Most cats just do it on the sly tip. Hahahahahah, man you kill me.

Bro I wouldn't have it any other way...........  I specifically married a Deadhead!!!! So when all else failed we have that in common!!
