I'll just drop this here.  The first Warmoth I ever built...and still my favorite.  :laughing7:

That's a fine fiddle, and it looks/sounds great.

If I were to offer any criticism, it would be that you're playing millions of quarter notes. Leave some space and time. I know you're on your own there, so that's difficult to do. You wanna fill the space. But, you need some changes. You have a good grip on the strings and a good ear so your bends and vibrato are good. No sense wasting that talent. Stretch a bit. Wind it out. Take your time. You don't need a note every beat. Cry just a little bit, and let the bass/keyboards/drums have a turn.

Thank you for giving it a listen, Kevin.  As you know, jams are just that.  You get caught up in the feel of it, and what comes out, comes out.  I'll give it more space in my next run.  :icon_thumright:  I was so into it that I ran out of backing track, lol.

I know. I'm no better, so take the criticism with a boulder of rock salt. But, listen to some of the "stars" critically. Those guys are usually great at leaving space. The old arena rock bands like The Who and Led Zeppelin were pretty good at letting everybody have their day in the sun.

An example would be the intro to "The Air That I Breathe" from The Hollies. Don't listen to it for more than 20 seconds or so, or your dick will fall off. But, it's a nice example of how you open things up. There's space there to do other things.

How about this experimental jam?  Better if allowed to play in the background.  The video doesn't do much for it, in my mind.  It's my Warmoth "beater," with EMGs (81 and 60), with the 18v mod.

Whoa, how'd I miss this one?  Very cool.  I wish I was as well versed as you are with all of these modes.  Until last month I thought Aeolian was a type of sausage.

Like KG said, you wanna explore the space.  You have a solid ear and great feel.  :headbang:

Well thanks, man!  Type of sausage...lol!  Aeolian is just standard minor.  But I love andouie (sp?) sausage!  :laughing7:

I'm curious what you think about the one I posted two posts above this one....

Blasphemy, but I don't really listen to music and I don't know much about the cats like Van Halen, but I did catch one of his interviews and he mentioned something interesting.  He went on to say that while his band mates were up all night carousing, he would stay alone in his hotel room with his guitar and a tape recorder.  He would literally noodle for hours on end and then develop his technique and riffs around the cool nuggets he'd capture on tape.

Very cool - I like the lick just before the 2:00 mark and the 2:39 mark. You should keep those and expand on them.

I'm pretty much the same.  I listen to Maiden and Priest when driving, and that is about it.

Thanks for the kind words.  I, too, think those are the standout licks from the jam.  Robotic and machine-like.
