EVH R.I.P.

I came across Van Halen 1 (& Eat 'Em & Smile) in a dusty box of cassettes my uncle gave me after cleaning out his truck, around 87-88 or so. This was back when albums cost money and I probably had only 9-10 tapes of my own, and (other than Pyromania and respectable Billy Idol) my collection was fairly weak. What a jump in practice time after that.

My own type of therapy...

I don't normally do celebrity death threads either. Yes, EVH certainly made his mark on the industry in a way only a very small handful have... But the thing that hits me in the feels is 29 is young to lose your dad. I was 32. My dad wasn't exactly famous, but even if yours is, to you he's just dad. My sincere condolences to Wolfie.

I'm about 3 hrs west of Arcada Theater, but I tell you what they've spoiled me last year when I saw Eric Johnson in January 2019 and a few months later Don Felder.  It's not a huge place, but the sound is great and every seat is great.
