Ok, OK, once again I'm stretching the truth...lying, actually,but I mean no harm; This project is my attempt to do a sort of 'faux Trussart' engraved metal-front using wood-burning and dyes to simulate the real thing. The body is chambered alder (3.7lbs) and was chosen for its light weight and lack of distinctive grain, giving me a relatively 'blank canvas'.
 
And some burning....can't decide what to put on the banner under the steer skull...the date? What?
 
That's gonna be totally awesome.


May I suggest Roadhouse True Blue P90's for the pups?  I love mine.  Really, truly love them.  They are my favorite pickups I have ever played.

Yet another fantastic piece of work! I think this one might end up being my favorite.
 
Amazing.

In reality, how hard would it be to swap a wood burner for a metal engraver?  I bet you could transition very easily.  Something in Copper would be killer!!!!

That's a nice guitar and the top is well-done, but it would have been a lot better if they'd left the IHush banner off there. Ruins what's otherwise a beautiful top.
 
I think that is a in stock show cast strat they build , so got the banner .

they are a custom shop , can  engraved anything you want .

Hey, Murray--That Tele is WAY off the chart!! What an incredible paint job! Mine is actually more along the lines of a Zemaitis/Greco piece like this:
 
I'll do my best to keep it interesting, Doug, but....didn't your mommy teach ya not t'chew wid yo' mout' open?!?
