what is a list of the elevtronics needed for a guitar? i dont need to know how, just what i need

All you NEED is a pickup and a jack.  You might WANT volume and tone pots, the wire and capacitors to connect them, and a switch if you have more than one pickup.

Pickup:

How-to book:

Basic 2 humbucker, 2 control 3-way switch setup, nothing fancy but still all good. The book will help too.

Second thread like this.  I may be mistaken...but I think I smell a troll.  :icon_scratch:

No offense intended Rounce.  I was referring to this thread:

We just get things like this occasionally where the same user posts multiple times on the same topic.  They mostly turn out to be farcical.

Do they?  Seems like they're just eager newbies to me.  Most of them don't stick around.

Here's hoping you do, Rounce  :occasion14:

I won't go into some of the email discussions I've had, but yes there indeed have been.  I wouldn't have mentioned it otherwise.  I don't make a habit of flaming others.

I humbly apologize for jumping the gun Rouse.

im hoping some one will know, but on a soloist, will i have to do something special to make the switches stay? because there isnt a pickguard

Special?  The same thing that holds them in the pickguard will hold them in the drilled holes in the body.  The pot (or knob) is a treaded shaft that has a nut crewed on above the body or pickguard.
