Uh... call me crazy.... but there seems to be a lot going on here which is questionable:

Questionable decisions... locking nut (never mentioned in the ad) and vintage 6 hole tremolo.  That's the biggest 'issue.'

What's up with those E strings under the string tree. Whoever strung that guitar up is pretty clueless.  :dontknow:

In the description he state the importance of the guitar staying in tune. It's a poopcaster. Looks to me like its the start of 2 separate projects.

That hurt my eyes too...

wiat, that's not how you string a guitar? How about if you don't have the retainer bar? I have all my guitars strung so the strings criss cross....

Your question makes absolutely no sense.

I question your questionability, therefore I find your question questionable.

The whole freaking system is out of order!

The guitar itself looks pretty good, and the $599 asking price is actually a decent asking price for all the parts involved. BUT a locking nut should never be used with a vintage tremolo system. That's just a recipe for disaster. Once you tighten down that nut there's no way to fine tune the strings, and tightening down the string is going to knock it out of tune a little bit. The explorer headstock definitely doesn't look bad, but I think the neck was probably just thrown on there to sell it rather than have to part the thing out.

I agree Jay. I've wanted to build a Floyd and I don't have a neck which is ready for the nut... so I thought about it. It just pains me to think that someone might buy that thinking it is a perfect guitar as is. In parts, it is a decent deal and everything looks quite respectable.

But still, I cringed when I saw that in the state it is in...

That guitar is a piece of crap, and is not worth anything close to $600.  It's a Mexican Strat body with a Warmoth neck, and a bunch of screwed-up things (black tuners with the rest of the hardware being chrome, Floyd nut --improperly strung--with a vintage-style vibrato bridge, etc.).  If that guitar is worth $600, then my Warmoth Soloist must be worth at least $3000.

Didn't realize it was just a Fender body. In that case I'd say closer to $400 or $450 maybe. Nice looking neck if nothing else.

Who in their right mind would string a guitar like that? :tard:

It belonged to a Guitarist that played in a traveling Circus Band.

That would explain the pickguard and headstock. It's meant to be a freak show guitar.
He also needed a Guitar that stayed in tune because the show went so fast that he never had time to re-tune during the show, thus the locking tuners.
What locking tuners? You sure as hell aren't going to stay in tune with a locking nut on a vintage bridge. :tard:

I guess we can't go wrong if it includes a tremalo bar. :dontknow:

What is the deal with the random capitalization in the description?
