Drilling new control holes

Hello Everyone,
I'm new to this forum and I'm about to start my first Warmoth build, a black korina w/ flame maple top VIP.

I'm hoping to wire my electronics in a way that requires more holes than Warmoth drills standard. I'm going to go with the PRS hole configuration and I'll need to drill new holes for a master tone control, two 3 way mini switches, a 3 way pickup selector and one series/parallel switch. I'm beginning to realize how many things that is to fit in a control cavity  :-\

If anyone has tips on how to drill more holes into a control cavity: what tools to use; what diameters are standard/exist for tone controls, 3-way mini switches, series/parallel switches, 3 way selectors and the like; that would be most appreciated.

I'm probably going to leave this to a pro at a guitar shop because this is the first time I've ever worked on a guitar, but if it's relatively easy I might do the job myself. In any case, the information would be great for me to know for successive builds.

I'll post pictures of my progress in the "in progress" section and I've created a topic in the wiring section concerning the wiring setup for this build.

Thank you everyone,
Geez

probably have to remove some of the wood from the inside of the cavity where the mini switches go...i think the top will be too thick to let them reach the top without that being done.

what is the wireing plan with the mini switches?

I want to be able to independently split the two humbuckers I'm going to install and I wanted to be able to select either the neck or bridge coil of each 'bucker. The switches would allow me to go from one coil to full-humbucking mode to the other coil, for each pickup. It's a pretty cool idea, but I can't take credit for it. I saw this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVnZLuOTP_0 and really liked the idea, so I thought I would try it myself.

Do you think full-size, or just larger sized (if that exists), 3 position switches would make it through the body?

you are saying that you might use LP toggles for this? they would work but probably still need some wood removed to pop through the holes. open up the rear control and take a look at the togle switch..they remove wood from the rear of the cavity on some and if yours has those rescessed holes that is more wood they have removed.

Thanks Brian, when I receive the body, I'll make sure to check that out, if I have to get some wood removed I guess there's not much I can do about it. Thanks for your help.
