If you're going TONIGHT in Dallas, and you want to meet up with some fellow fans and have a drink or two, I posted this from the Fan Club:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MAIDENDALLAS 2010
MEET AND GREET

The Dallas IMFC Meet and Greet will be at the HARD ROCK CAFÉ at Victory Park (Downtown Dallas) June 9th 2010.
3pm –5:30pm.

http://www.hardrock.com/locations/ca...46&MIBenumID=3

We will have some large tables but many can sit at the bar and at own tables and mingle throughout the HRC.

There is plenty of parking within blocks of the HRC. If you are using public transportation use any stop that accesses Victory Park and/or West End. There is parking at the House of Blues you can use or use the West End parking under the bridges a couple of blocks away is usually cheaper than HOB. There is also street meter parking but its tough to get those spots.

The Concert venue is about 5 miles from the HRC.

We will have T-Shirts for this historic night in Dallas. The following is a picture of the rough draft, not the final design, I can not get the picture of the final product to post, it’s in a different format. The only difference really is that the Texas border is correct, and on this version it is shifted to the center. There is also something being added about it being the first show of the tour!!

A HUGE THANKS TO IMFC MEMBER TEDNES FOR TAKING THE TIME TO DO THIS DESIGN FOR US!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You don't have to be a member of the IMFC, just a fan of Iron Maiden!

Up the Irons, have a great F-ing time!!!!

Sure will!! :)
I would love to go to the meet-up, but I'll be happy if I can make it in time from work to the stadium! :)

I'll try to get some pictures of the Quebec City show in July too :party07:

I saw Iron Maiden in Long Beach, CA while they were recording the Live After Death album.  They were freaking insane, one of my all-time favorite concerts, and album, still.

I'll be there too! Woohoo! Gotta love the Festival d'été de Québec! For instance, I just found out that Social Distortion are opening up for Billy Talent. I hate BT, but I woul;dn't pass up a chance to see Social D again.  :headbang:

...and now for some more relevant content.  :laughing7:

Woe to You Oh Earth and Sea
for the Devil sends the beast with wrath
because he knows the time is short (UNTIL THE CONCERT STARTS!!!)
Let him who have understanding
reckon the number of the beast
for it is a human number
its number is six hundred and sixty six.

God, Iron Maiden. They were the first live show I ever saw. It was Iron Maiden with Quiet Riot in like 1982. If I remember correctly it was the "Number of the Beast" tour. Saw them twice after that on the Piece of Mind tour and the Seventh Son tour. I think the Seventh Son tour had Megadeth opening for them.

so glad I grew up in the 80's and saw all these bands in their prime

I was front row center last year in Florida (won tickets) for the 'Somewhere Back in Time' tour Mully, and I gotta say, they haven't slowed down. Not one f-ing bit.
There are 80's bands that have resurfaced to do the club scene, some still rock, others should have stayed home. Iron Maiden is STILL cranking it at 11 and its
amazing they still sound as perfect now as they did back in the day!

Sorry, man, I didn't mean to insinuate that they have lost a step. I've been watching them for damn near 30 years now and they surely haven't. What I meant was that I'm lucky to have seen them in their prime, when they were young without the wrinkles. Hehe!! And I wasn't meaning just Iron Maiden. Through the 80's I saw just about everyone that came through. I'm so glad I grew up in that era.

Marko will be following up with pictures soon.

The Concert Was AMAZING.
Dream Theater played an hour, then Iron Maiden played for two. There were 12,000 people there.. and we were 15 feet from the stage. It was aboslutely brilliant, and I'm still exhausted.

Dream Theater was amazingly tight. Iron Maiden had unbelievable energy. You'd think Bruce was in his 20's and it was brilliant.. and they played Running Free.  :headbang1:

I agree with Luke... Maiden is still as good as ever!! I couldn't ask for a better show..
A guy in fornt of me left halfway because he was pissed off that they only played songs from the last 10 years (up to that point).. well I guess it isn't a greatest hits show, which was fine by me!!!

and Who the hell is this?????

Why would anyone do that?
You go as far as to get tickets and show up, then you leave halfway through because the songs aren't your favorites?
Just enjoy the damn show.

Ok, some pics then.. Dream Theater first..
they were very impressive! Super tight and played perfectly!!

The pictures are a bit crappy (but way better than I expected)

Yeah, people are bitching on the Iron Maiden Fan Club forums about the set list. Thats typical though, you can't please every
fan when a band has 15 recorded albums and a career spanning 30+ years.

How was the crowd? I'm seeing reports that some people were... sleeping?

Did DT play "Hold me under?"
